Upon graduating from medical school at New York Medical College after induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society, Dr. Desai went on to complete a radiology residency at University of California, Los Angeles. Thereafter, she went on to complete a combined fellowship in Breast and Abdominal Imaging at the University of Southern California.
During her time as a resident and fellow, Dr. Desai pursued numerous scholarly activities, including the completion of the Global Health Track at UCLA, which saw her through several publications on imaging in low resource settings. As a fellow, she continued along the same route, taking an interest in reading for an underserved hospital in Haiti through Imaging4Change and educating residents in Tanzania through RadAid. While maintaining these interests, Dr. Desai gained expertise in breast imaging and breast procedures in a high volume setting at LA County Hospital. She supplemented her knowledge gained at UCLA with expertise in Body MRI at USC, including CT, MRI and sonographic imaging of the hepatobiliary system, transplant organs and genitourinary system. She also developed an interest and expertise in oncologic and prostate imaging.
Dr. Desai is excited to join the Rolling Oaks team and looking forward to contributing with her expertise to the communities of the Ventura County area.
