Dr. Paul Tung is a board-certified radiologist who specializes in abdominal imaging at West Coast Radiology, a network of 29 imaging centers that provides comprehensive radiology solution to patients in Orange County, California, including MRI, mammography, and X-rays.

Dr. Tung studied medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science center. After graduating, he joined the Henry Ford Health System and Michigan State University, where he completed an internship and a residency in diagnostic radiology. He then moved to the University of California, Irvine, where he completed his medical training with a sub-specialty fellowship in abdominal imaging. During his fellowship at UC Irvine, he was extensively trained in interpreting multi parametric prostate MRI that is used to diagnose cancer and other maladies in the prostate gland.

Dr. Tung has been highly lauded for his work in the medical field, even as a student, becoming a member of the National Osteopathic Honor Fraternity. He won the Magna Cum Laude Poster Award from the Society of Abdominal Imaging in 2016 while he was a fellow at UC Irvine. His research has also been published in several leading medical journals, including the Journal of Clinical Imaging Science and the Journal of the Society of Abdominal Radiology. In addition to treating patients, Dr. Tung is also active at the UC Irvine Medical Center Department of Radiological Sciences, where he works as an Assistant Clinical Professor, teaching and training resident doctors.
